Allow me to Introduce Myself

Hi! Im Dougie......

I’m the new boy in town or at least with this rescue group. I’ve been here a couple weeks already, but since I have a small cough and am kind of snotty, they are keeping me all alone. It’s very boring, but I’m not complaining.

I’ve been all vetted and now I’m boarded until I’m feeling better. There’s a foster home lined up to take me in. I’m not sure what a “foster” home is, but anything with the word “home” has got to be good. I’m ready for a change of scenery.

While I’m in a kennel, people do come to visit me. I think they are from this rescue group. I think one might even be my next foster mom – she’s not saying anything, but she visits a lot and even brought a guy and some teenagers to meet me too.

I’m a big guy at 68 lbs, but I’m in good shape and I’m strong. I have a big head and a thick neck and boy do I love walks… I can’t wait to explore and go on an adventure, so I pull a lot. That’s something we are going to work on.

I know “SIT”, “GET YOUR TOY” and some other stuff, but in the kennel, it’s hard for me to show off all my training and tricks. I did make sure everyone who visits knows how much I love treats and also that I’m a playful guy.

As soon as I get out of this kennel and get into a “home”, I’ll send another update with lots more news!
